Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer
Tim Jenks has been President & CEO since April, 1998. He has also served as CEO at affiliates NanoGram Corporation and NanoGram Devices. Mr. Jenks was previously a Vice President and General Manager at Raychem Corporation. A former Naval Officer, he has a MBA from Stanford University, a MS in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Marine Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.

Bandel L.Carano, Managing Partner, joined Oak Investment Partners in 1985 and became a General Partner in 1987. Mr. Carano has invested in companies with emphasis on Wireless and Rich-Media communications (2Wire, Airspan, Avici, CommVerge, CoreTek, Endwave, FiberTower, General Bandwidth, Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, MobiTV, NeoPhotonics, Netopia, PictureTel, Plastic Logic, Polycom, Presidio, PulsePoint, Qtera, Sentient Networks, SmartDrive Systems, Tegic, Trapeze, and Wellfleet); Advanced Software Systems (Entropic, firstRain, Illustra/Informix, Sybase, Tele Atlas and Visto); Advanced Semiconductors (Actel, Airgo, CommQuest, Kenet, Level 5, NemeriX, Newport Media, nLight, Qpixel, Resonext, SMIC, Solarflare, Stretch, Synaptics and Virata); Design Automation (Centric Software, Interconnectix, Parametric, Synopsys and Tensilica) and Clean Energy Technologies (Aurora BioFuels, Boston-Power, eSolar, GreenVolts, NanoH2O, PML, ReliOn, and Sundrop Fuels). Prior to Oak, Mr. Carano joined Morgan Stanley's Venture Capital Group in 1983. He was responsible for advising Morgan Stanley on high-tech new business development, as well as sponsoring venture investments. Mr. Carano received BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He currently serves on the Investment Advisory Board of the Stanford Engineering Venture Fund.

Steve Jurvetson is a Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. He was the founding VC investor in Hotmail, Interwoven and Kana. He also led the firm's investments in Tradex and Cyras (acquired by Ariba and Ciena for $8B), and in pioneering companies in nanotechnology and molecular electronics. Previously, Mr. Jurvetson was an R&D Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, where seven of his communications chip designs were fabricated. His prior technical experience also includes programming, materials science research (TEM atomic imaging of GaAs), and computer design at HP's PC Division, the Center for Materials Research and Mostek. He has also worked in product marketing at Apple and NeXT Software and as a Consultant with Bain & Company. Mr. Jurvetson holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford. He received his MBA from the Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Peter Thomas is a General Partner with ATA Ventures in Redwood Shores, California. In addition, he has been a Partner with Institutional Venture Partners in Menlo Park, California since 1985. Mr. Thomas has an engineering and technology background having spent 14 years in various operating positions in technology companies including Intel, Fairchild, and Sylvania EDL. He is presently a Director of three public companies Atmel Corporation, AtRoad and Transmeta. In addition, he is a director of several private companies. He has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University and an MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Santa Clara.

Robert Peng is the Chairman and Managing Director of Concord Investments Co. Ltd., a member of the Cheung Kong Group, and the Managing Director for China Investments of CEF Holdings Ltd., a member of Cheung Kong and CIBC Group. Mr. Peng has almost 20 years of experience in the finance and investment field in China and Hong Kong. He is also a director of Shenzhen Changyuan New Material Co., Ltd., a Shanghai listed company. Mr. Peng graduated with a BA degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington and holds a MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Michael J. Sophie currently sits on the Boards of Directors for McData Corporation (NASDAQ: MCDTA), a leading provider of storage networking solutions; BCD Semiconductor, an analog and mixed signal IC products company; and Postini, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand message management services. Mr. Sophie also serves as audit chair for each of these companies. Mr. Sophie recently served as EVP and COO, and previously as SVP and CFO, of UTStarcom, Inc. of Alameda, Calif., where he had financial and operational management responsibility for the NASDAQ-listed (UTSI) company with annual revenues in excess of $2 billion. Mr. Sophie had direct managerial responsibility for accounting, finance, information technology, investor and public relations, legal, human resources, marketing and sales, and supply chain.

Lee Ting is a managing director of WR Hambrecht & Co., the investment bank based in San Francisco. Prior to joining the bank in 2000, he had over thirty years of experience in both operations and investments in the technology field with Hewlett Packard, Hambrecht and Quist, and a number of start ups. He currently serves on the boards of public companies Lenovo Group and Microelectronics Technologies, and several private companies and non-profits. He received his BSEE from the Oregon State University.

Allan Kwan has more than 25 years of information technology, telecommunications and general management experience and recently spent six years at Yahoo! Inc.— first as Managing Director of North Asia regional operation, then as Vice President, International, where he was responsible for China’s investment and liaison with the Alibaba group companies. Mr. Kwan was instrumental in reshaping Yahoo’s market position in China after the acquisition of 3721 Network Software Company, Ltd. and the set up of 1Pai.com, an online auction joint venture with industry leader Sina.com in 2004. These actions led to the US$1.7B investment by Yahoo! into Alibaba.com in Aug 2005. Mr. Kwan was previously Chairman and CEO of Asia.com, a provider of web services and he spent six years at Motorola where he led the development of mobile Internet services and the growth of the paging business in Greater China. Mr. Kwan also worked at Nortel for more than 10 years in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Telco Marketing, International Business Development and Wireless Systems Sales.

Mr. Olsson held several senior management positions at Ericsson, including: Executive Vice President and Head of Business Unit Systems, Vice President and Head of Business Unit TDMA Cellular Systems, Vice President and Head of Transmission and Transport Networks and a two-year stint as CIO. In his most recent position, Mr. Olsson also led the initial phase of integrating companies acquired by Ericsson in the U.S. -- Redback Networks, Entrisphere and Marconi, North America. In addition, he served as the Chairman of Ericsson Cables, with joint ventures in China, India and Malaysia, Ericsson Power Modules and Ericsson Market Unit Nordics and Baltics.
