Low Power Consumption 56GBaud Laser and Drivers Provide Matched Component Sets for both 4x100G PAM4 and 8x50G NRZ 400G Solutions
With the ever-growing demand for more bandwidth, datacenter operators and service providers are actively looking into the client side interface technologies beyond 100G, with 400G the clear next standard. NeoPhotonics’ latest 56GBaud products enable 400G interfaces with two possible solutions. First, with a PAM4 modulation scheme, the combination of a 56GBaud EML with a linear 56GBaud driver can achieve a 100Gbps data rate with one single laser. A 400G interface will use four wavelengths with PAM4 modulation. Second, a traditional NRZ modulation scheme with NeoPhotonics’ 56G EML and limiting driver can deliver 400G of capacity with eight wavelengths.
“The development of high speed components such as our 56Gbaud EML lasers
and drivers by NeoPhotonics Semiconductor is the result of our
commitment to lead in the technologies required for the ultra-high speed
segment of the transceiver market,” said
