LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 20, 2017--
NeoPhotonics Corporation (NYSE:NPTN), a leading designer and
manufacturer of optoelectronic solutions for the highest speed
communications networks in telecom and datacenter applications, today
announced that it will conduct live demonstrations of 100G to 600G
transmission products for customers at the Optical Fiber Communications
(OFC) Conference and Exhibition at the Los Angeles Convention Center in
Los Angeles, California, March 21 to 23.
These demonstrations are enabled by new products for high speed 100G to
600G Telecom, Client and Data Center networks, including a 64 Gbaud / 64
QAM CFP2-ACO pluggable module, a 64 Gbaud micro modulator (Micro-MOD), a
CFP-DCO coherent pluggable transponder, an 8x16 Multicast Switch and a
400G CFP8-LR8 10 km transceiver. The individual demonstrations are
described below.
64 Gbaud Micro-MOD: NeoPhotonics will be
demonstrating its new 64 GBaud micro-modulator featuring co-packaged
linear, high bandwidth, differential drivers. OSNR measurements will be
conducted at dual-polarization 16 QAM and higher order constellations.
64 Gbaud CFP2-ACO transceiver: NeoPhotonics
will demonstrate its new high speed CFP2-ACO pluggable coherent module.
OSNR measurements will be conducted at dual-polarization 16 QAM and
higher order constellations.
200G CFP2-ACO Class 2 transceiver:
NeoPhotonics will demonstrate its Class 2 CFP2-ACO module at 100G using
DP-QPSK modulation and 200G using 16 QAM.
CFP-DCO and 8x16 Multicast Switch:
NeoPhotonics will demonstrate its latest ClearLight™ 100G CFP-DCO
pluggable coherent transceiver, including operation through NeoPhotonics
new 8x16 Multi-Cast Switch, illustrating how the high transmitter OSNR
of the CFP-DCO module increases the performance of Colorless,
Directionless, Contentionless (CDC) networks.
CFP8-LR8 PAM4 transceiver: NeoPhotonics
will demonstrate its 10km 400G CFP8-LR8 module measuring BER performance.
“We are pleased to demonstrate our new pluggable modules and components
for the highest speed 100G to 600G line and client side applications.
These products represent the most significant and extensive product
introductions for NeoPhotonics and we believe that they will be key to
our customer’s next generation applications,” said Tim Jenks, Chairman
and CEO of NeoPhotonics. “To reach the highest possible speeds in a
pluggable module, each component must also be the highest performance
while meeting the form factor and power consumption requirements of
module operation, as we achieve with our Advanced Hybrid Photonics
Integration technology,” continued Mr. Jenks.
In addition, Dr. Winston Way, NeoPhotonics Chief Technology Officer,
will give a talk at entitled “High Bandwidth Components for
Single-Lambda 400G Coherent Systems” as part of the Market Watch Panel
entitled “Market Outlook for High Bandwidth Optical Technologies”
Tuesday, 12:30-2:00 p.m., March 21.
NeoPhotonics will also exhibit at OFC in booth 3017 its suite of
standard and small form factor PIC-based components for 100G to 600G
coherent line-side applications, along with its 100G to 600G client-side
and data center CFP2 and CFP8 transceivers, along with its multi-cast
switches for “contentionless” ROADMs.
