The NeoPhotonics 400ZR module on an OSFP form factor is designed for use by hyperscale data center operators and peering networks to provide high bandwidth interconnections in an industry standard, interoperable footprint. Capable of transmitting 400GB/s over 120 km , NeoPhotonics OSFP 400ZR coherent module features superior OSNR and power consumption in an OIF 400ZR Implementation Agreement and OSFP MSA compliant design. Utilizing the latest in house SiPho Coherent Optical Subassembly (COSA) and nano-ITLA, this module delivers superior cost/performance for applications ranging from data-center interconnects to router-router connectivity and access network demands. With a power efficient optics and the latest 7nm DSP, the reduced power consumption and engineered heatsink assures reliability in demanding high density environments

200G & 400G Coherent Transceiver CFP2-DCO

The NeoPhotonics CFP2-DCO is the first in a series of coherent module solutions based on NeoPhotonics’ patented photonic integrated circuit (PIC) platform, which will enable cloud operators and carriers to create optical interconnects with much greater capacity and density with reduced complexity in the high-capacity dense wavelength division multiplex (DWDM) optical networks used in hyper-scale cloud and telecom infrastructure applications. NeoPhotonics’ CFP2-DCO module incorporates several coherent solutions from NeoPhotonics in a pluggable module, including its new extended-tuning-range ultra-narrow-linewidth tunable C++ LASER Micro-ITLA (integrated tunable laser assembly). It also features its high-bandwidth 64Gbaud C++ ICR Receiver and C++ CDM Modulator. This module supports tuning across the full Super C-band and is said to provide up to 50% more spectrum and resulting capacity than standard modules.

This CFP2-DCO module tunes to 75GHz-spaced wavelength channels when operating at 64Gbaud and 16 QAM to support 400G transmission in 400ZR and 400ZR+ modes for cloud data-center interconnect (DCI) and metro telecom applications. For long-haul and regional applications, the CFP2-DCO module utilizes 64Gbaud and QPSK modulation to deliver 200G-per-wavelength transmission. If the application requires that a 50GHz channel wavelength spacing be used, this CFP2-DCO module can tune over 120 channels .

The module is compliant with the OIF-CFP2-DCO-01.0-Implementation Agreement and has a superior optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) and watt per gigabit performance. The module will also be available in standard C-band tuning range for applications that do not require the significantly higher capacity per fiber that this module enables.

The NeoPhotonics CFP-DCO is a coherent pluggable module designed to support single-wavelength data transmission at 100Gbps for applications ranging from data-center interconnect (DCI) to long-haul. Part of the NeoPhotonics coherent platform, the product incorporates an ultra-narrow linewidth, external cavity Micro-ITLA laser and high responsivity Micro-Coherent Receiver, both designed for high-efficiency, low-power operation. With the addition of advanced 16-nm coherent digital signal processors (DSPs) and low-insertion-loss modulators, the laser and receiver enable the modules to operate without a booster erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA). Eliminating the amplifier reduces cost and size, and increases optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR).

This CFP-DCO transponder is available in 100 Gbps and in a standard CFP form factor. The 100 Gbps module features 100GE or OTU-4 interfaces. These can plug directly into existing 100G CFP client-side slots to extend the range and capacity for metro and data center interconnect (DCI) applications.
