Overview

NeoPhotonics Athermal Arrayed Waveguide Grating (Athermal AWG) has equivalent performance to standard AWGs but requires no electrical power for stabilization. Athermal AWGs can be used as direct replacements for Thin Film Filters for cases where no power is available at the shelf and they can also be used outdoors over -30ºC to +70ºC in access applications, extending the cost performance benefits of AWGs. NeoPhotonics Athermal AWG is an integrated PLC component that multiplexes or demultiplexes 40, 44, or 48 channels onto a single fiber, and follow the mechanical requirements of the Multi Source Agreement for Athermally-stabilized AWG Modules. Customers can utilize a single-board design to accommodate AWGs from multiple vendors. NeoPhotonics offers a full line of MSA AWGs with channel spacings of 50 GHz and 100 GHz, covering the C and L Bands.
